Econo Lodge Hacienda International

The location made it easy to get to the river, library, information centre, art gallery and performance centre, with the skate park a short walk away. Shops and other play and nature spaces are within an okay walking distance, though a car might be easier. Breakfast was included and had a good spread. For gluten-free and dairy-free options there were fruit, seeds, coconut chips and nuts. The pool was small but nice. Our unit was a clean, modern motel-style open-plan room, with only a small supply of things for eating, drinking and cleaning. The courtyards could look better, as they’re just blank white brick walls. The friendly staff were all great, and the cleaning staff were amazing. Every day they checked whether we wanted the room cleaned or needed supplies. We really appreciated that, and it earned the extra star. Otherwise I probably would’ve given 4/5.

The Matador is a delightful place to stay, with helpful staff and rooms that are always clean and comfortable. They were accommodating with our late check-in, and the on-site breakfast was a lovely way to start the day during our visit. We’ll definitely stay again!

We had a large room with a balcony, a modern bathroom and a very comfortable king bed. The pool area was lovely, and the continental breakfast was fantastic. It’s close to everything but still quiet. Friendly, welcoming staff too. I’d definitely stay again.

I wasn't expecting much at this price, but the clean rooms and decent noise isolation were a pleasant surprise. It’s near the heart of Sale, and I’d recommend it if you're in the area. The pool could use some work haha, and the off-street parking can get packed.
