The facilities were excellent, and the location worked perfectly for us. My room at Wrest Point Hotel was clean and comfortable, with beautiful views. The staff were professional and friendly, and always ready to help. It was a relaxing, enjoyable stay. I’d happily recommend it.

We first stopped by the bistro for a fantastic baked dinner while we were staying elsewhere in Hobart. We asked about accommodation then, and Rahul gave us the room rate and suggested booking, as prices can change with market demand. When we came back a week later, Rahul welcomed us again and helped us get an upgrade to the 14th Floor. We were delighted with the views across the Marina and harbour, the comfortable luxury accommodation, and the great food. Having the sauna and a swim every day in the same building was a bonus. The room itself was nice, and housekeeping did an amazing job each day. But I wish the booking had been clearer about what we were actually getting. I booked through a travel aggregator, where all the photos showed the tower hotel. The only sign it might be the motel was the “Motor” label in the room type. After reading reviews, I called before arriving and paid an extra $50 per night to switch to a tower room. We’d booked for three, with a queen and single bed, and adding the third person a few weeks earlier cost another $50 a night. The location wasn’t great for visiting Tasmania’s tourist attractions, since we had to drive through downtown Hobart every time we left. The breakfast buffet didn’t impress me, though the omelette station was nice. There’s facial recognition in the casino area, so we didn’t go in.

The buffet breakfast is a must, with the sun coming up over the Derwent river while you eat. We had a relaxing weekend at Wrest Point while attending the Mustang Spectacular for 2026. Our room was very comfortable, the views were breathtaking, and the staff were accommodating with everything we needed. If you’re in Hobart, do yourself a favour and stay at Wrest Point 💯

We stayed at the Water Edge and had a beautiful room, with easy parking readily available. The staff were amazingly friendly, from reception to the casino. The guy maintaining the pool, I think his name was Rob, was an absolute top bloke. Tasmania’s people are so, so nice, a whole different world to Sydney. We love this place and had an amazing stay. On our first night we even saw the Southern lights right outside the window 💜
