Sapphire Beach Holiday Park

A great bonus was the coffee van, and we had lovely weather during February and March. The staff were accommodating and lovely, and the park was clean, well kept, and very child friendly. It had all the amenities we needed. I'd love to come back one day.

We had a really disappointing experience. We shared a booking with another couple, who had to pull out, so their booking was transferred to us. We received no communication at all, no confirmation email or text. When I called about our credit, which was a large amount, I was told it had expired after two weeks. Nobody had told us that, and they more or less just said bad luck and moved on. I stay at at least five parks a year and have never dealt with anyone who runs a park this way. It was very disheartening. I won't stay here or recommend it to anyone.

The birdlife was magnificent, especially the black cockatoos flying overhead, and there were plenty of shady trees. The unpowered sites sit right by the beach, with good beach access, though the beach itself is pretty dumpy and isn't patrolled, so be cautious. The amenities are new, spacious, clean, and well maintained, with large showers, hot water, and excellent pressure. There's also a morning coffee van, a vending machine at the office, a pool, playground, tennis and basketball courts, and mini golf. It is a bit pricey, but you're essentially paying for the amenities. I'd stay again.

The beach is only 100 metres away. It's a terrific caravan park with great facilities, and it's close to Coffs Harbour.
