We booked well in advance, expecting a lovely Easter holiday with the family, but the stay was so disappointing. The listing called it a luxury stay, and it fell well short. The ensuite wasn't working, the downstairs toilet was out of order, and the BBQ was disgusting. Nobody warned us about any of these problems. We were charged $500 for cleaning, which hurt, and the owner showed no care and offered no concession for the problems. The property manager lives next door. Book somewhere else.

Sawtell is a great place, with a nice community and good places to eat. At the beaches, you don't feel cut off from civilization.

Under new ownership since June 2017, Sawtell on the Beach is a beautiful place to stay. There are only a handful of houses in this prime spot in Sawtell, so come and check it out!
