Shellharbour Holiday Village

The amenities were clean, and there’s a shower for people with disabilities. The laundry machines and dryer only take card payments. Staff were friendly, and it was a very quiet spot. There aren’t many caravan sites because most residents are permanent, and some don’t seem happy to have visitors. The few residents, three, who spoke with us were nice and welcoming.

We had a lovely week in this quiet, tucked-away park. Our powered site was large, and all the staff were great. The showers were clean and hot with good pressure, though the cubicles are small and the doors are short. We’d definitely come back one day.

The riverside camping spot beside the trees was peaceful, and with things quiet at first, there was plenty of room between us and the neighbours. That changed around 11pm when some noisy arrivals chatted for hours. Someone from a static cabin was also working in their garage from 11pm to midnight, with what sounded like an angle grinder on metal and then lots of clanging. Check-in was super easy even after office hours, with clear directions for the key and our pitch. The toilets and showers were close by and there were plenty of them, but they felt dated and only about 5/10 clean. The shower doors were so low you could easily see into the cubicles, which didn’t feel private.

The beach was right across the road, and a walking track, playground and cafe were about a 15-minute stroll away. My daughter and I had a really comfortable stay. Our accommodation was clean and tidy, and I felt very safe. Can’t wait to stay again!
