Shellharbour Resort

We had a minor problem after losing our room key, but the staff were understanding and sorted it out straight away. The rooms were sparkling clean, service was outstanding, and the central location was convenient. My partner and I also enjoyed the clean, refreshing pool, and I’d recommend a swim if the weather’s good. For a three-star place, it was truly amazing and better than most three-star hotels I’ve stayed in. I don’t understand some of the reviews I’ve read. Five stars all the way!

We’ve stayed at Shellharbour Resort six times, and it’s our usual choice when we’re in the area. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, and the reception staff have always been friendly. It’s easy to find and very convenient. The grounds are neat and tidy. We haven’t used the pool or tennis court, but both look to be in great condition. The rooms are quiet too, and we’ve never noticed road noise.

I was a bit let down that the restaurant was closed, so we couldn’t have dinner or breakfast there. The room was clean and had great features, and the stay was still pleasant. I would have liked the reception welcome to feel warmer.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a newly renovated bathroom, though there was a lingering smell like chemicals or oil. There’s plenty of parking, and it wasn’t busy over the Christmas period. We stayed three nights and didn’t get room or cleaning service, but there were plenty of movie channels. The complex is on the main road, though the traffic noise wasn’t too bad. The entrance isn’t clearly marked, so I missed the driveway and had to go further up the road, deal with some traffic, double back and try again, haha. Staff on site were friendly, but I can’t say the same about the person on the phone. She may need to smile more.
