There’s plenty nearby, with the beach, cafes and walking and bike tracks all close to Shoal Bay Holiday Park. The park was clean and well maintained, and had a peaceful coastal feel that made it easy to unwind. We enjoyed exploring during the day and coming back to such a quiet spot in the evening. A fantastic stay, and we’ll definitely return. Highly recommend it for a lovely Port Stephens getaway!

I’ve been coming to Shoal Bay Holiday Park for nearly three decades, and clearly there’s a reason people return. The toilet facilities are great, it’s across the road from the beach and close to shops, restaurants and lovely walks. It’s clean, and the maintenance and reception staff are always lovely and helpful. My one concern is that at night people can walk into the park and cause problems, though that’s not easy to resolve. It’s lovely off season too. I hate rating it so highly when it’s already crowded at peak times, but I highly recommend it and will be back.

A real hidden gem! The cabins are beautifully presented and come with a full kitchen and fridge. The calm bay is just a 50 metre walk for a swim or a stroll on the beach. Shoal Bay Country Club is only 100 metres away, great for lunch or coffee. Go there, it’s heaven!

The facilities were clean, and it’s an easy walk to the beach. It’s kid- and pet-friendly, and the service was good. For a late check-in, just let them know as a courtesy. They promptly provide the access details and arrange a map and any cabin keys. It is quite close to the main road, though, and the car noise did take away from the experience.

The women at the front desk were fantastic and helped us a lot with our three cars. We booked the big house, which is insanely spacious, though it has only one bathroom. It was my first time in the area, and I’ll 100% book it again.
