There are several garden areas to wander through, plus a covered BBQ and an open fire pit. It’s a lovely spot for a short break, with places to visit nearby and a quaint town. Inside, the rooms have air conditioning, and there’s a media room as well as a sitting room with a fireplace for reading or relaxing. The beds and furnishings were comfortable, and everything we needed was provided. We were welcomed with local wine and sweets, and the appliances came with clear picture and diagram instructions. There were also brochures and a compendium to look through. A great place for children too. I LOVE IT!!!! 💕💕💕

The gardens are especially beautiful in autumn, with all those deciduous trees, and there are plenty of seating spots dotted around. Kids can find some fun little places too. It makes for such a relaxing holiday setting, and nothing seems too much trouble. The house has been restored beautifully, with so much included and no expense spared. The beds are very comfortable, the decor is lovely, and the full kitchen has a pod coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, and a 90cm gas oven with a 6 burner stove.

We had the best four nights here, everything felt charming and cosy. The youngest and I walked through the gardens every morning, said good morning to the fish and played tic tac toe. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Our visit to the Southern Downs was a highlight for our aging American friends, and this quiet place on the edge of Stanthorpe was a great base. It has an acreage feel, with lovely gardens around the house. The four of us stayed two nights. The home is tastefully decorated, and all the little touches are just right. You can tell it’s well loved. Highly recommend.
