It feels tucked away, though the town centre, restaurants, and cruise ships are only a few minutes' walk. The heritage building sits in a lovely garden, and the comfortable rooms have modern amenities while keeping their old-time character. We enjoyed having a drink in the bar and the lounge spaces, especially the one with the big fireplace. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Charlottes restaurant served an amazing five-course menu, and Francois was a perfect host for dinner. The historic Manor is beautiful, well located, and has very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

We had dinner at the Manor with our family. Even though « the Charlottes » wasn't open, there were a few simple options, including a cheese board, quiches, and a sausage roll. Everything was good quality. The wine list had a surprisingly varied selection, with something for different occasions. Renato looked after us really well and was a great host. It was refreshing to find that kind of hospitality in such a remote place. Keep it up. Cheers.

The staff were lovely and the location was great, but the floor between the upper and lower units let through a lot of sound. When the neighbours above had the TV on or were snoring, it felt as if the noise was in our room.

We really enjoyed the French cuisine and local wines on the gastronomic menu, a treat we hadn't tried before. Breakfast portions were good too. Franklin Manor has an old-fashioned feel, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It was an easy 10-minute walk to the main street attractions, including the heating areas and boat cruises.
