It was attentive and polished without being intrusive, and every detail, from the presentation to the flavours, had The Langham's signature sophistication. The tea selection was thoughtfully put together, with each blend brewed beautifully and served at just the right temperature. On the tiered stand, there were delicate finger sandwiches with balanced flavours, warm fresh scones with rich clotted cream and house-made preserves, and elegant, indulgent pastries. At The Langham Hotel, the setting felt refined but still relaxed, with soft lighting and plush surroundings. It was an exquisite high tea that lived up to its reputation for timeless luxury. A lovely choice for a special occasion or a leisurely, indulgent afternoon. Classic, graceful, and undeniably luxurious.

The people who made our stay especially memorable were the staff. The doormen, particularly Louis and Jose, were warm, natural, and highly professional. Their hospitality felt intuitive and gracious, never forced. Tolga, the restaurant manager, was composed and attentive, and clearly cared about maintaining a sophisticated level of service. Ott and Michael saw us off with the same genuine warmth. Throughout the visit, the service was thoughtful and seamless. My friend and I recently stayed three nights at The Langham, Sydney. I especially liked its boutique scale and intimate feel. The Observatory Bar is discreet and beautifully designed, and the dining rooms feel elegant and private rather than showy. The experience felt carefully put together, not commercial. The rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed, with comfort and quiet luxury. A few furnishings were damaged, though, and could use repair or replacement. Walking into the hotel, we were met with a sense of calm elegance: the signature scent in the lobby and the changing flower arrangements in the foyer made it feel refined and welcoming. Among the city's many luxury options, The Langham stands out for that intimate setting and its authentic, refined hospitality.

We booked Classic Afternoon Tea for six at 2.30 pm last Sunday (11/1) to celebrate a friend's birthday. Three of us had requested vegan and vegetarian options, with the rest ordering from the regular menu. We arrived on time, but the food took an hour. We mentioned the wait to the waiter, and the tea was lukewarm. Service was slow, and even though it wasn't busy, the whole thing felt a bit rushed. The Spanish-speaking waiter was lovely and accommodating. When the food finally arrived, nearly all of it was vegetarian or vegan, with only one item that looked like it came from the regular menu. Since it was so late, we were told the kitchen was closing and couldn't make any more non-vegetarian dishes. We paid specifically for the right order for each person, so we were very disappointed. They offered complimentary sparkling wine to make up for it, but some of us don't drink alcohol. The venue and location are beautiful, at least.

We had a lovely stay at the Langham Hotel from 1-3 January 2026. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the cosy atmosphere felt welcoming and accommodating. Breakfasts were delicious, and we were treated wonderfully at the observation bar. Having a spa centre as part of the hotel made the stay even more special. We have nothing to regret. Thank you to all the staff for making it so memorable.
