The staff were lovely, friendly, and professional. Even the doormen kindly kept my Opal card safe after I accidentally dropped it while leaving. Breakfast was a good value buffet with a convenient egg station, and the location suited us. The ramp made luggage easier, and the cool, inviting foyer had comfy lounges where my toddler napped when we arrived. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well cleaned. The musty carpet smell put me off, and the balcony tiles in room 501 were dirty. My two kids’ feet went black walking barefoot out there, though it washed off easily in the bath. I’m disappointed the hotel won’t take cash. My husband and I prefer paying that way, and cash is legal tender in 2025. I can’t understand how it can be refused.

The room was comfortable and clean, and we had a really positive stay. We’d be glad to come back. Shania and the team made the visit a great experience. Especially, Shania, the duty manager, handled an issue with real professionalism. She was approachable, friendly, and efficient, listened carefully, and got everything sorted quickly. Her positive attitude and focus on customers stood out.

The staff were friendly, courteous, and professional from the welcome right through to our departure. We were in the Amora for a two-night city break, and its CBD location near Circular Quay was excellent. The room had all the amenities and a comfortable bed. We also enjoyed the couple of nice bars, tasty bar food, and room service. A great experience, impossible to fault. Thank you.

Our flights were cancelled, so we needed somewhere for one night before the flight the following day. It’s a lovely hotel, with amazing staff and a nice pool area. The spa could do with an update. The only unpleasant bit was a loud woman in the bar who said we couldn’t sit at a table because she wanted it for her tour group. There was no reserved sign, so we sat there anyway. She wasn’t hotel staff, just a rude, loud, arrogant woman. Apart from that, we had a great stay.

We were on the seventh floor both times, in different rooms, and slept really well. They were quiet, with comfortable beds and spacious, clean bathrooms. We stayed at Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney twice, at the start and end of our Australia trip, and both visits were excellent. The hotel is clean, comfortable, quiet, and well run. Staff also let us leave a small bag after our first stay, then collect it when we returned. That helped a lot and saved us carrying it around Australia. Circular Quay and the Opera House area are about a 10 to 15 minute walk away. One small drawback: the nearby MetCentre shopping mall, with Woolworths and several shops and restaurants, closes on weekends and holidays. We were there mostly over a weekend and Labor Day Monday, when many local businesses were closed too. With the MetCentre shut, we couldn’t go straight through it to Wynyard Station and had to walk around the block. Not a big deal, but good to know. We’d definitely stay here again.
