After the floods and a road closure made it physically impossible for us to reach the hotel or wedding venue, we contacted the hotel as soon as we could. We were meant to stay there for the wedding, and asked to move the booking to another date or receive some kind of refund. The owners bluntly refused any flexibility, saying no because of the cancellation policy. We understand cancellation policies, but after travelling around the world, we’ve never been so disappointed by owners.
