For the price and location, this is a good option. The rooms were clean, and there are good places to eat just outside. There’s no restaurant or on-site parking, but the hotel has an arrangement with an off-site lot about a five-minute walk away. It’s an old building, so some features are unusual.

We’ve been coming back for years, and Joseph has always been accommodating. The Devere hotel is in a great spot, with what you need either in the hotel or nearby. Froth cafe is just up the road and does a great cooked breakfast for $7. It’s also handy for seniors going to shows and live performances. Thanks to the hotel and staff for making our stays lovely.

The room was a decent size, but the stay left me with a bad taste. We could hear the people next door easily through the paper-thin walls. At the front desk, an Asian gentleman seemed annoyed to have to speak with us. The bathroom cleanliness was the final straw. See photo attached.

The location was the best part of this very basic hotel. I booked at short notice for an overnight work trip during a busy period, and everything else was pretty average. I also left a dress hanging in the wardrobe by mistake. When I called the front desk, the staff member said housekeeping hadn’t found anything. I’m completely sure I left it there, but there’s no way for me to get it back. I’ve never had this happen at any hotel I’ve stayed at. It felt extremely unprofessional, essentially like taking property from someone who paid and trusted the hotel. I should have read the reviews before booking. Don’t bother staying here. Maybe I’d still have my dress.
