Bridgeview Hotel Willoughby

We travelled from New Zealand, and the team made our holiday really enjoyable. They’ve made my stay more than enjoyable, and everyone is friendly. The hospitality is exceptional, and the staff are more than willing to help if something isn’t quite right. The air conditioning worked in all three rooms I had for my family, despite a review I saw claiming it didn’t work. It’s an older hotel and the rooms aren’t the newest, but it’s a decent place with comfortable beds and really good value for what you pay. Some people complain there’s no coffee machine in the room, but there are cafes just across the road. Don’t expect a five star experience unless you go to a five star hotel and pay five star prices. Thanks to the whole team at Bridgeview Hotel from me and my family. If I come to Sydney for another holiday, I’ll definitely be coming back to BRIDGEVIEW HOTEL!!!!!

What stayed with me from our visit was the feeling that my friends and I were treated differently at reception. The tone, body language and lack of basic courtesy gave us a genuine impression of racial bias. As international guests, we found that upsetting and uncomfortable. No guest should feel unwelcome or judged. The service felt dismissive and unfriendly from the moment we arrived, with very little willingness to help. We travel and stay in many places, and understand people can have a difficult day, but this seemed beyond ordinary poor service. It felt personal and left a lasting bad impression. You expect professionalism, respect and equal treatment when booking a place to stay. Sadly, that wasn’t our experience at Breidview Hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming, respectful environment.

The building has charm and nice decor, and the outdoor sitting areas were lovely. Everything was clean and cozy, with excellent, accommodating staff. The rooms were great, with comfy beds, air conditioning and TVs. Facilities were good too, including bathrooms with soap and towels and a kitchen with cooking appliances. 10/10, would stay again.

It’s a perfect spot for our local family and friends to have fun. Today was my first visit. The food was good, the drink was nice, and we got a happy hour cocktail. Thanks to the gaming girl Michelle for her great service and beautiful smile. There were lots of customers, and I can tell everyone would like to come back because of her. I’d like to visit again.
