Clean room and facilities, and everything worked as it should. Wila at the front desk was a warm, friendly owner. Cheap and cheerful, I’d stay again without hesitation.

The room was filthy, with black mould in the split system and a disgusting bathroom. The staff were rude and obnoxious, too. I’m appalled by this property. Thank goodness Booking.com was on my side, and I took photos of everything before leaving. Don’t stay here, no matter how desperate you are.

The bed sagged badly in the middle and was really uncomfortable. The TV was no bigger than a small computer monitor, had no remote, and sat on the bedside table, so we couldn’t watch it properly even if we’d had reception. The room bore no resemblance to the listing photos or description, and it was filthy and smelled terrible. There was visible mould on the walls, carpet, blinds, bathroom door and in the bathroom. Hot water barely trickled from the kitchenette and bathroom taps, and it was only lukewarm. The shower was just as bad, so in a Sydney winter I couldn’t get a decent hot shower. Its screen door panels weren’t even attached to each other. Signs warned that shower steam could set off sensitive smoke alarms if the bathroom door was left open, with a $1700 charge if they went off. Given the water wasn’t hot enough to make steam, I doubt that would happen. Other signs said leaving the bathroom light and exhaust fan on for a long time could damage the fan and bring a $500 charge. The fan didn’t work at all and was covered in an inch of dust. Very disappointing. There’s a clear lack of cleanliness, maintenance and general upkeep, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We needed somewhere at 11pm after the hotel we’d booked had hygiene problems. We called a few places and this was the only one we could find. The receptionist was lovely and accommodating, even letting us use laundry powder for free. The coin washer and dryer were really handy. She saved the night and helped us get a good sleep before the next few days.
