Club Wyndham Sydney

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Wyndham Club. Staff were helpful, even though reception seemed busy with how popular the place is. The Sydney CBD location is central, with restaurants and cafes an easy walk away, and Hye Park about ten minutes on foot. On-site parking was a blessing. Rooms are compact, so I’d suggest a two-bedroom option if you want the extra space.

Getting in and out was fairly easy, and the staff were friendly. We’d stay again. Our two-bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable, though the rooms were much smaller than we expected. The bathroom and toilet were generously sized, and the basics like shampoo, conditioner and body wash were provided. There was also a washing machine and dryer in the room. Musuem Station is about a five-minute walk away. Parking is very limited and costs $45 a day.

The Purezza water tap in the foyer was my favourite little touch. The kitchenettes are well equipped, and the rooms are good. It’s good value for a convenient spot just outside Darling Harbour, with plenty of nearby restaurants and Darling Harbour and the CBD within walking distance.

The location is great, but we’ll think twice before coming back. A day before check-in, a front desk staff member called and kept trying to sell us an upgraded membership, even after we politely declined several times. Once she realised we weren’t interested, she loudly accused my husband and son of being rude. It put a real damper on a family break we’d earned. We don’t like confrontation, and this staff member clearly didn’t mind it.
