We were heading to a funeral when ten of us got into the car park lift. The sign said it was rated for 17 people and 1250kg. Instead of going up, it went down and displayed “General Error”, leaving us trapped for over 30 minutes. Three people in our group were over 80, and it got quite hot inside, putting their safety at risk. We all weighed under 100kg each, several of us much less, so the combined weight was several hundred kilograms below the posted limit. When the repair person finally arrived, he said there were too many people. I pointed to the 17-person sign, and he replied, “that’s 17 people at 45kg”? His calculation seems off: 1250kg divided by 17 is about 73kg each. He suggested the limit should instead be under 765kg, based on 17 x 45kg. If that's the correct limit, the sign needs changing. It's a safety hazard to display a load limit that the operators know to be wrong. We arrived at the funeral much later than expected. Afterward, people told us the same thing had happened to them or someone they knew on different occasions over several years. Something needs to be done about these lifts. We checked the sign before entering and wouldn't all have gone in if it showed the correct limit. The lift should be closed for safety until it's replaced or the safety signs show the correct load. Avoid parking in the car park if you can, and DO NOT USE THE LIFTS.

At noon on a Wednesday, more than half the shops and cafes were shut, which gave the place a really odd feel. The Teatro is the main attraction, and with more shows happening, local businesses have a big opportunity to open and serve theatre-goers before and after performances. There's a large courtyard but hardly any seating and no shade. The toilets are downstairs in an underground area. They weren't very clean, although there was plenty of soap and the hand dryer worked.
A lovely Italian-style village with both homes and businesses. My boyfriend and I visited today. It was quiet and peaceful, though the square land felt a bit wasted with not much going on. Still, it's a great place for taking photos. ☺️
They've moved all the tables and seats out into the courtyard, leaving nowhere to sit under shelter when it's raining or when the sun is scorching. With no place to chill, why would anyone stick around?
It's amazing to see this place slowly coming back to life. The last Italian restaurant may be gone, but the markets and new theatre have brought life back into the forum. I actually see people walking around! It's an incredible place to be, and always has been, always will.
