The breakfast was excellent, with hot options and fresh fruit, and the coffee machine in the second-floor lounge was a nice surprise. Staff were very friendly too. Our family really liked this place. The location was great, about a 30-minute walk to Sydney attractions and five minutes to a bus stop. The triple room was clean and comfortable, with a nice balcony, good air conditioning, and a fully equipped kitchenette.

We spent three nights here on our Sydney holiday. Richard made check-in easy and upgraded our room at no extra charge, giving us more space. He was also helpful when arranging two cabs for us. It's an easy walk to the Opera House through the Botanical Gardens, and the wharf train connections are nearby. From airport terminal 1, the bus and train are an easy and much cheaper option than a cab. There are a couple of nice restaurants close by, as well as the famous "Harry's Café de Wheels." We'd happily stay here again.

The location was brilliant, with a half-hour walk through the botanic gardens to the opera house. The free breakfast was a nice extra, and the man at reception was lovely and incredibly helpful. Good value for money, too. The room and bathroom were clean and functional, the beds were comfortable, and having a balcony was a bonus. We'd definitely stay again.

The breakfast was awful, so set aside money to eat out. There are loads of great places nearby. Rooms were clean and functional, but dated, and it felt like a clear three-star hotel. I don't know where the 3.5 rating came from. The person who checked me in was rude and pressured me into taking a room I didn't want so she could leave early. The checkout and cleaning staff were great. The location was good.

Breakfast wasn't very good and ended at 9:30 a.m. Check-out was already too early for me, and staff banged on the door repeatedly until we left, making it stressful and uncomfortable. The manager made this the worst stay I've had in over 20 years of travel. Whenever I spoke to him, he was rude, hostile, arrogant, aggressive, and unprofessional. Even a basic civil conversation was impossible. I also felt harassed every morning. At exactly 9:00 a.m., staff repeatedly knocked hard and shouted "housekeeping" until I had to wake up and answer, even though I hadn't asked for service. This happened daily, and once the manager himself woke me at 9:00 a.m. after knocking several times for no valid reason. Hotels should make guests feel welcome and respected. This place did the opposite. Avoid it.
