Newtown is a lively spot for a bartender hostel, with heaps of bars and restaurants and good connections around Sydney. The beds are comfortable and there’s enough room to keep your things. Everyone seems to have at least one thing in common (ebs), so it turns into a little family. Jarvier, the hostel manager, is the best and can usually help with any request. He also organises some activities, which is great. Amazing hostel and people. Highly recommend.
I spent six weeks here and loved it. Newtown has lots of good places for food and drinks, and the train station and Aldi are only a five-minute walk away. There’s also a bus that goes straight to the beach. Javier, the hostel manager, is an amazing person who always goes above and beyond for everyone. I can’t thank him enough for everything he’s done for us. He’s always coming up with new ways to make the stay better. The atmosphere with everyone was so good, like being at home with my family.
Newtown was a perfect base, with local cafés, bars, shops, and other spots just around the corner. The hostel was incredibly clean, and it’s clear they care about keeping it that way. Javier, the manager, takes great care of things, listens to everyone, and makes sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. I had an amazing stay and can highly recommend it.
Javier was quick to sort out anything I needed. He even surprised me with balloons, birthday donuts, and cupcakes. I’ve never stayed in a more welcoming hostel. Loved my time here and already miss it!
EBS hostel was the best time of my life. Javier is such a great man and absolutely the best at what he does. I’d recommend it to anyone doing the EBS course. Looking forward to coming back to Sydney.
