Holiday Inn Express Sydney Airport by IHG

The staff were lovely and helped us with everything we needed. We arrived at 9am and didn’t expect an early check-in, but the reception team, especially Christian, got us into a room straight away. We were sharing a Queen standard with my sister, and the bed was smaller than we expected, so we asked to upgrade. They accommodated us quickly, and the King Supreme was great, with a big bed, comfy pillows, and in-room A/C controls. The rooms are a little smaller than I expected, but I think they’re fair for the price compared with other hotels. Just so you know, the bathroom is frosted glass and the door has a big gap when you shower. The hotel is close to the airport, and breakfast being included was convenient. I’d really suggest joining their membership online, since it gives you discounted rates and perks like late checkout.

Getting to the city centre took only about 20 minutes, and the station was an easy walk away. My room was clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed, and I was especially pleased with how much room there was. There were plenty of amenities, and the included breakfast was excellent. The customer service was excellent as well. Keep up the great work 👍🏾

I loved the comfortable, clean place, and the breakfast selection was pretty good. The croissants were a big favourite ❤️, though I wasn’t keen on the scrambled eggs, sausage, noodles, fried rice, or ham. Breakfast is included with the stay, and I’d still recommend this as a good place to stay in Sydney 👍. A few things weren’t quite to my taste: the toilet and shower share one glass door that swings both ways, the breakfast coffee machine wasn’t very user-friendly, and there wasn’t much seating when we came down at 7:00am as breakfast opened. The nearest train station, Mascot, is a 15mins walk away. Bus 350 is closer, but you can only catch it from the domestic flight area, not international. Kudos to the lady working in the breakfast area on the 3rd Apr. She noticed someone had dropped the tongs and replaced them immediately. Super service recovery, awesome job 🫰❤️. The staff were friendly too.

The rooms were lovely and clean, just what you need for a layover during a busy trip around Australia. We also really appreciated being allowed to store our luggage for a full day while our big group of 7 went out for the day before leaving Sydney. Your hospitality and service made everything much easier!
