Holiday Inn Parramatta by IHG

For our one-night stay, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I liked having a choice of pillows, and we were pleased with the buffet breakfast. The location worked for us too, a short walk to the train station and an easy walk to the stadium. You can tell the room is older, since there weren’t any USB ports apart from the one on the clock radio. The amenities were fine, with a pool and a gym that’s just big enough for a few people.

We had a lovely visit with family from Melbourne. The overall atmosphere was great, and the service was fantastic. The rooms met our expectations, and I especially enjoyed chatting with the staff, including Jordan, who helped us settle in when we arrived.

Irene was working alone behind the desk on Christmas Day, but she stayed friendly and eager to help. The restaurant was closed, and she still went out of her way to sort out our drinks. Her warm hospitality and positive attitude turned what could have been a disappointment into a memorable experience. Thank you, Irene, for being so willing to help!

For the price, it’s a pretty good hotel. You get a room with a desk, TV, and bathroom, plus a hair dryer that even has a cool setting. The AC works well too. Service can sometimes feel a bit unkind, but it’s nothing worth getting upset about. My TV remote had some issues, and the windows can’t be opened, which I think is for safety. Otherwise, it’s pretty neat!
