Holiday Inn Sydney St Marys by IHG

The beds were comfortable, and those big, soft pillows made for a great night's sleep. The rooms were nicely presented, and reception staff were genuinely welcoming. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy. You're right beside Saints Leagues Club for dining and entertainment, and the hotel was excellent value. A great stay from beginning to end. I'll be back.

Our one-night stay at HI St Marys was fantastic overall. The rooms were spotless, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My only snag was trying to use an IHG F&B voucher. The app showed a system error when I tried to redeem it before checkout, and the front desk said I had to handle it through the app myself when I asked them to apply the discount manually.

I felt taken advantage of by the way management handled my $200 bond. After my stay, manager Damien said a small amount of water on the carpet made the room unrentable for several days, and withheld the bond. That felt like an unreasonable excuse and a way to profit unfairly from guests. The management came across as rude and unprofessional. I'd be very cautious about the bond policy and how guests are treated. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We were made to feel very welcome, with staff accommodating our early check-in and late checkout. We picked the Holiday Inn for a weekend back in West Sydney, revisiting where we used to live, and it was a great choice. The rooms are modern and well laid out, with a lovely big shower, comfy bed and pillows, and everything we needed for a weekend away. St Mary's League's club next door has lots of food choices, including a buffet. Thanks to the staff and management. We'll definitely come back.
