ibis Sydney Barangaroo Hotel

We had a lovely cafe for breakfast, and the team were incredibly friendly. The hotel is set up for budget stays, with a very comfortable bed and a shower smaller than I'm used to, but it worked for me. I walked to Darling Harbour and around the many streets for touristy things. Wynyard station is also within walking distance. I'd highly recommend it, especially for a solo trip or a couple. I saw plenty of tourists staying here.

We booked a stay here to be nearer this harbor on New Year's Eve, after being told roads in the central business district would be closed. It was clean, well placed and friendly. The staff were helpful and gracious, including Moussa, Lilith and Zayd. Their coffee shop serves Vittoria, an Australia-based blend that started in 1958. It's quite good! We were told nobody would be there after 10pm, so we should take our key if we went out late. That was fine for us; we got back around 2:30am on New Year's evening. There was another couple with luggage trying to check in then, though, so arriving that late to check in might be a problem. Life is good with a clean, cool hotel that has a coffee shop.

The room was large, clean and convenient, and breakfast was cooked fresh and served hot. The location worked well for sightseeing, near landmarks and public transport. Lovely staff and good breakfasts made it a super stay. I'd definitely come back.

The location made it easy to get to trains, the market and everything else we needed. Staff were kind, welcoming and professional from the moment we arrived. They even let us check in two hours early, which made a big difference and isn't something many hotels offer. It ended up being one of my best hotel decisions. The experience exceeded what we expected, and I'd highly recommend it for comfort, convenience and outstanding service.
