The area is a real plus, with cafes and a large shopping mall right behind Lyf Bondi Junction, lots of food choices, and Bondi beach a 30 minute walk or 10 minute uber away. The room was small but functional, the bed was comfortable, wifi reliable, and the water refill station on each floor and lobby cafe were convenient. But the service made this a stay I wouldn’t repeat. We arrived an hour after check-in time and still had to wait another 45 minutes because our room wasn’t ready. Staff at check-in weren’t very friendly and left out basic information, including the four-day cleaning schedule, gym, breakfast hours, and communal kitchen. In our six-day stay, the room was cleaned only once. They changed the garbage and left two fresh towels, but didn’t change the sheets or vacuum. We often had to get towels ourselves from the front desk, so it felt like a self-serve hotel. The communal kitchen was disgustingly dirty, and the shower leaked over the bathroom floor, which then got tracked into the room. There’s no in-room phone to contact reception, so you have to go all the way downstairs for help. We definitely won’t be staying here again anytime soon.

The staff made a six-week stay at LYF especially enjoyable. Johnny, Michelle, and Ethan in the bar, Tika at reception, Martin, and the others were always willing to accommodate us. We’ve been coming to Sydney to visit family for eighteen years, and this was one of our most enjoyable stays. The room was small but had what we needed, with drawers under the bed and other storage. The Queen size bed was amazingly comfortable, and the shower was great. There’s also a fridge and microwave. We adapted to the space by emptying our suitcases and having our son take them home. On the 10th floor, we used the gymnasium and laundry room, where my wife did the washing and drying once a week. The rooftop terrace there has tables and chairs. The 1st floor kitchen has every appliance you can imagine. We also liked the dining area, bar, and daily dinner deals. A big thank you to everyone. Hope to see you again soon, and stay safe.

The room was modern, clean, and comfortable, with a great feel for a short stay. Staff were friendly and efficient from check-in through checkout, which made things easy. The TV had a technical issue they couldn’t fix while I was there, a bit annoying when I wanted to relax and watch something. Still, I enjoyed my stay and would happily return. Great value and a fun, fresh feel, close to Bondi Junction.

Getting around Sydney was easy, with the bus and train station close by. Lyf has a modern, social atmosphere, and the shared kitchen on the first floor was handy for making simple meals or getting coffee. My room was compact but thoughtfully laid out, clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The staff were very helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. It was a comfortable, well-run stay in a great location. I’d recommend it and would happily return.
