We celebrated our son's 21st at the Mercantile last night, and the staff went above and beyond for us. We'd booked the rooftop, but the weather wasn't great, so they arranged a private downstairs area for our group of 20 and put the heaters on. The meals arrived promptly after we ordered. They were delicious, generous portions, and well priced. A special shout-out to our lovely waitress. We had such a good time, and we'll definitely recommend the venue to friends. ☘️

The Mercantile Hotel in The Rocks had a great live set, with guitar and viola giving the pub a warm, lively Irish feel. The guitar kept the music moving, while the viola brought a rich, emotional quality. Both musicians sang really well, giving the performance plenty of depth and character. It felt intimate and authentic, just right for Sydney's oldest Irish pub.

A great place to stop for food and beer. What really made it special was the fantastic staff. They're getting ready to move to a new location before St Patrick’s Day 2026, and they'll “Rock the Rocks”.
