The staff made the stay a pleasure. They were always smiling and helpful, and no request seemed like a bother. As a woman staying alone, I felt comfortable and was encouraged to use the amenities. The other guests I spoke with were friendly and polite. It was my first stay at Nightcap at Pymble Hotel. The room wasn't huge, but it was nicely decorated, clean, and well maintained. Mine faced the highway, though I didn't notice traffic noise. There was a little noise from the bar downstairs earlier in the evening. It was the weekend, and that's to be expected at a pub hotel. The food was fresh, tasty, and well cooked, and arrived quickly after ordering. There's a beer garden outside and a separate secret garden for smokers, away from the other guests. I'd gladly stay again and have no hesitation recommending it to others.

I stayed in room 15 and called to complain that the air conditioning wasn't working. They said someone might come and check it. When I spoke to the cleaner the next day, they said it's a “hot room.” A tap another reviewer mentioned still hadn't been fixed six months later, and the cleaner just laughed. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Clean room, good food, great staff, and a great price. Room service was great too. The only reason I didn't give five stars is the Wi-Fi, which averages 0.26mbs and is painfully slow, even though they advertise it as fast and free. It is free, at least. Thanks for having me, I'll be back when I'm next in Australia :)

I had a great stay in a room above the pub. It was a quiet Thursday, so I slept well. I can imagine I'd have had less sleep if there'd been an event on.

We enjoyed the fantastic food, trivia, and live music, and the accommodation was very clean. The breakfast boxes were great too. The triple glazing did a great job reducing noise from both the traffic and pub. The rooms are very compact, though, and too cramped for three people to be comfortable. There wasn't any fresh air available, so four nights with a teenage boy wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been.
