The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a nice bath and bathtub. I liked the interior design, which had a fabulous Luigi Manson 2 style, and the location in the middle of a shopping mall was great. But on arrival, staff didn’t explain where the facilities were, and the TV home button was broken, so we couldn’t look up hotel information. It was fixed on our third day. The outdoor pool is only for guests over 18, which is an issue for families with kids. Also, there’s no Sunday dry cleaning for business travellers, so you have to sort it out yourself.

We had a lovely two nights here. The double-glazed windows kept things super quiet, though the rooms were a little dark, especially the bathroom. The location on Market St is fantastic. Staff were very friendly, and the decor is quirky and fun. Parlour is a nice spot for a drink, and breakfast was okay, though it gets busy. Gowings bar and grill was very good. Thanks.

The location was ideal, with shopping nearby, including the QVB, a couple of museums, and a 10 minute tram ride to the harbor area, the Rocks, Opera House, and royal botanical garden. Our three nights were very pleasant: the room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and the AC worked well without much noise, which we appreciated since we like it cool for sleeping. Breakfast was included, served from a good selection of dishes rather than a buffet. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

The downstairs bar was a great touch, lively and well designed, and handy for a drink without going far. The room was spotless, the amenities were plentiful, and reception was efficient, friendly, and welcoming. I also appreciated the valet service, which made arrivals and departures easy on a busy road in such a central spot. The hotel has a distinctive character while still being comfortable and well run. For the location, the price felt reasonable for the quality. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney.

The staff were lovely and took a genuine interest in how my day was going. I stayed in a gorgeous junior suite on level 5 of the Gowings building, with a great view of the QVB. The bathroom could be left open and light or closed off for privacy. The room had the old charm and class QT Sydney is known for, and the lobby was dark and relaxing, a lovely place to sit for coffee and a chat before check-in. It’s a stunning hotel, and I’d like to try some of the other room types.
