Quality Inn Penrith

We’d stay again. The room worked well for six people, with two bunks and a double bed, and all the beds were comfortable. There was plenty of cutlery and crockery, though the fridge was a bit small for drinks for everyone. The bathroom was good, with lots of hot water and good pressure. Penrith station is a short taxi ride away, but not walkable.

For a small hotel in western Sydney, this was much better than others we’ve tried. It’s not the Ritz, but the staff were friendly and check-in was easy. We found it surprisingly quiet on a Saturday night. The beds felt a little firm, though comfortable enough.

The rooms were clean but dated, and the price was reasonable. There’s plenty of parking, including mobility parking, though the hotel sits on a major road leading to and from the motorway. Customer service was prompt, and tourist information leaflets were available.

The mattress was too firm for me, and it would be helpful if guests could book a thick mattress topper. The room had a lounge area with a kettle for tea and coffee, plus a separate bedroom and bathroom, with a wardrobe opposite the bathroom.
