Quest Campbelltown

The property itself was mostly fine, apart from a bit of mold in the main bathroom. One receptionist made us feel unwelcome and put a negative edge on our holiday. At check-in she gave me dirty looks and spoke abruptly and rudely. Later, while I was simply using a machine in the gym, she told me to leave because I was supposedly making too much noise. She wasn't nice about it, and the camera footage should show her looking as if she was nearly shouting from the doorway. She kept giving me dirty looks whenever my family and I passed by. It was just that one receptionist; once the night shift started, the new receptionist was lovely and helped me a lot after hours.

Staff are nice, the rooms are nice, and housekeeping does a good job. No complaints. A little bar downstairs would have been nice, but it's no big deal with a few nearby.

There's plenty of food around, plus a train station and lots of stores, so the location worked really well. The place has a BBQ area and a small gym, and it allows dogs, with one floor kept dog-free. The walls are thick enough that barking hasn't really come through, and I've never heard dogs at night. You can't leave your dog by itself in the room, though.

The buffet breakfast was tasty, and the location was just right for my appointment at a local business. After driving 9 1/2 hours from Melbourne, I was glad to reach a comfortable Quest, take a shower, and get into a good bed. There was a small hiccup with the after-hours check-in safe, but Natalie, the night manager, fixed it quickly. I was soon parking the car and heading up to my room. Everyone I dealt with on staff was very friendly.
