Rooftop 2 Bed Apt With Terrace at Newtown

The decor is amazing, and I loved it. The rooms are very comfy, with toiletries, a mini kitchen, hair dryer and iron board. It’s perfectly placed for the Enmore Theatre and a walk through Newtown. The hotel also suggests places to eat where guests can get a discount.

I found The Urban Newtown after learning that Sydney Park Hotel had no rooms available anymore, and it was just as good, if not better. They checked me in at 11.30am after my long flight from the UK, which I really appreciated. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe the whole time. The rooms were very clean and peaceful, and I especially liked the kitchenette and snack bar. I could work remotely in different spots around the hotel, including the lobby. People mention a musky smell in reviews, but I didn’t notice one at all. And there’s a HOTEL DOG!!!!! 🥺🐕 I’d definitely come back.

The family room’s second bedroom was so tiny you could barely get past the bunk bed, and it had no PowerPoints. That was my only minor disappointment, though we were just there to sleep overnight. The main bedroom had everything I needed, and staff were super responsive to my emails before the stay. We had early checkin and late checkout, wonderful service, and the place was immaculately clean with beautiful decor. I wish I’d taken photos of the wall art. Tea and coffee were available, along with a microwave and mini fridge, and cancellation was free up to 2 days before. The train station is 5 minutes away, and it’s a perfect location for the theatre. The welcome email had heaps of information about local restaurants and cafes, including one offering a guest discount. Absolutely the best place to stay in Enmore!

Everything else was terrific, the location is great and the rooms are really well equipped. But the TV wifi kept dropping out and was dreadful. That connection was the only reason for my 3 star review. If it doesn’t matter to you, stay here.
