I arrived on Friday night, the date I meant to book, and was told I’d forfeited the payment because Agoda had accidentally set my reservation for Thursday. Even though a room was available and I was standing in the lobby ready to check in, management wouldn’t move the booking by 24 hours. They said I’d have to pay for Friday all over again. I’d made a simple clerical mistake, but there was no flexibility or fair compromise. I had to leave and find somewhere else to stay. A hotel with basic hospitality would have helped correct the date instead of trying to charge me twice for the same stay. I’m taking this up as a “Service Not Rendered” dispute with my payment provider and filing a complaint with NSW Fair Trading. They’d apparently rather leave a room empty than help with a simple mistake.

Before 9:00 AM, staff knocked repeatedly and then came into our room without proper permission. Having someone enter without clear consent was deeply uncomfortable and made me feel unsafe. They also pushed us to leave before 11:00 AM, despite that being the official checkout time. The room was dirty and poorly looked after, nowhere near basic hygiene standards. The lack of respect for guests was unbelievable. I’d tell others to think twice before booking. I won’t be back.

The staff were genuinely lovely, warm and attentive, and we felt well looked after. Sadly, the room was so hot we needed to borrow another fan to sleep, and there were large cockroaches in the lobby. The pool area was slippery, and at breakfast we saw a fly on the breads and pastries. We’d saved up for a two-night anniversary stay, since we don’t have much spare money for treats like this. It hurt that we ended up going home after just one night because the room was so uncomfortable. What should’ve been a special celebration turned into a bit of a disaster. The employees were kind, but couldn’t fix the problems.

The sofa bed felt wobbly and squeaked a lot, and there wasn’t a proper duvet for it. We could also hear people next door and anyone walking past outside, so the room wasn’t very soundproof. The place was okay and clean, but the carpets were dirty and a lot of things looked old. It’s not the most convenient location if you aren’t driving, and they still have cable TV, which feels ancient. The stay was passable, but I wouldn’t return.
