The location is fantastic, with light rail, buses and airport trains close by, and it's near everything you need. The room had great facilities, including a fridge stocked with cocktails, wines, beer and soft drinks, plus a microwave and sink. As an Accor member, I was given a lovely little bottle of Prosecco on arrival. Staff were friendly and helpful too. There isn't an in-house restaurant, but La Riviera across the road is fabulous. As a regular traveller, I rate this hotel very highly and will stay here every time I visit Sydney. Thank you Accor! 🙏👍👏

The staff were lovely, and the location was good, but I wouldn’t stay again. My room was small and only acceptably clean, and I saw other guests really upset about the condition of theirs. There was loud construction noise late into the night, too. I paid $1,794.55 for three nights, which felt massively excessive for what I got. They don’t have a restaurant on-site, and I’d skip the breakfast add-on. You’ll find more choices for less money by crossing the road or walking around the corner.

The room was quiet and comfortable, with good facilities, and the body wash smelled lovely. The location was fabulous, with pretty much anywhere reachable on foot or by metro. But the shower dripped, so we had to keep the bathroom door closed, and $10 for Pringles seemed steep. We didn’t use the minibar because of the prices. The pool is off-site and costs extra, and you have to carry the Sebel-branded pool gear over there. We wanted to swim, but a five-minute visit wasn’t worth the trouble. Breakfast is at a small café nearby. We paid extra for it, but could have saved money by ordering the same thing ourselves. The ticket said “juice and coffee,” but apparently it meant juice or coffee, and you can’t order breakfast to your room even though the website says the café does room service. Compared with other Sebels, this place felt short on luxury. It did the job and felt clean, but the extra charges made it feel like a money grab.

The bed felt a bit stiff. They brought an extra mattress pad, which helped, though I could still have used a little more cushioning. Otherwise, it was a lovely, clean and comfortable hotel where everything worked well. The shower was very nice, and there’s a lovely breakfast place across the street. It’s centrally located, too.

When we checked out the next morning, the concierge didn’t seem very apologetic after I told her about the room. She said she’d follow up with housekeeping. The night before, we’d returned just before midnight and found long black hairs all over the bathroom floor. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned, and it was too late to complain then, but it felt icky. The check-in concierge had been amazing, arranging an upgraded style room and storing our luggage while we rushed off to a post-Christmas function. I’ve never had this happen at a Sebel before, and honestly, it was pretty shocking.
