This was our first and last stay at Silkari. We arrived late, with no advance warning about the condition of the room and no chance to find somewhere else at short notice. The lower part of the bedroom-facing wall had been stripped back because of water damage. When we raised it and said we expected better for over $200, staff acknowledged the problem but didn't consider it much of an issue. There was another room available, but it was a different type and, they said, the 'system' meant they couldn't move us. Management wasn't available, and rather than spend our late evening trying to sort it out, we stayed. The rest of the apartment was fine, apart from that wall and a rusty shower head that hadn't been maintained properly. Staff apologized, but said there was nothing they could do. From their perspective, it seemed acceptable not to tell guests about the damage before they pay. If you're not comfortable paying $200 or more a night for a room that looks damaged and under repair, you might want to wait until the repairs are finished or look at other places nearby. We felt trapped, especially when there was a spare room but they still wouldn't switch us, citing the 'system'. Maybe a later stay will be different, but it's worth knowing what we encountered.

Silkari Suites was a really nice place to stay. Our room had plenty of space, plus a small kitchen and a washer-dryer combo. I left an important item behind, and the hotel found it and mailed it to me. There was a charge, which I was very happy to pay. The service was outstanding, and the complimentary morning coffee was absolutely lovely. I'd recommend Silkari Suites for a Sydney stay of more than three nights, especially in Chatswood, with lots of places to eat nearby and the train close at hand.

We had a lovely family stay at Silkari. The apartments were spacious and well equipped, and it was handy to have underground parking while exploring Chatswood. Jackie, Susan, Markus, Jay, Leon and Helen made us feel welcome, and the place felt like a home away from home. Free tea and a chat were a nice way to start the day, and the restaurant suggestions were great. Thank you!

Silkari Suites at Chatswood felt like a five-star stay at a very reasonable price, and exceeded all our expectations. The staff in the bright, modern lobby were warm, professional and helpful, and check-in was lightning fast. They surprised us with an upgrade to a lovely One-Bedroom suite. The apartment was spotless, quiet despite being in the middle of everything, and beautifully designed with a fresh, contemporary feel. There was loads of space, a very comfortable king bed, and a fully equipped kitchenette with a dishwasher, oven, microwave and full-size fridge. The in-suite washer and dryer were a real help while travelling. We also appreciated the reliable high-speed Wi-Fi, excellent air-conditioning and secure undercover parking. The location made getting around easy. Westfield Chatswood, Chatswood Chase, The Concourse, with its theatre, restaurants and live music, and the train station are all just steps away. Sydney CBD is about 15-20 minutes away by train, while plenty of cafes, dining and shops are within a 2-5 minute walk. The complimentary barista-made coffee each morning was another lovely touch, and the baristas were brilliant. Whether visiting for work, a family trip or exploring Sydney's North Shore, this place has comfort, convenience and genuinely welcoming service. We're already planning to come back.

Silkari is a short walk from Chatswood station, with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. The property was clean and well looked after, and close to a residential area where I enjoyed some nice morning walks. Silkari doesn't serve breakfast, but there are cafes open early for coffee or a bite, and the hotel offers free morning coffee. I had a pleasant stay and would come back.
