Our balcony room had an exquisite view, and it was spacious and spotless. The staff went out of their way to make the stay perfect and were so accommodating. We came back to Hotel Challis for my partner’s birthday, having stayed several times before, and it exceeded our expectations again. It’s a beautiful hotel and our favourite in Sydney. Thanks to the team for another wonderful stay. We’ll definitely be back.

The girls school next door gets very loud at recess during the day, which made it hard to sleep after a long international flight. Still, we had a wonderful experience. Victoria, Melissa, Gia, and all the staff were kind and professional. The price was great, and the location is perfect, near lots of shops and restaurants in a lovely neighborhood. We highly recommend it!

The lobby was a nice place to relax, with complimentary pod coffee, tea and snack packets. They also let me store my luggage before check-in and after check-out. I didn’t hear any noise after 9.30pm and slept really well. Hotel Challis was a lovely stay for the price. The building is beautiful, the staff were friendly and polite, and my room was clean, tidy and comfortable. The compact double was a good size for one adult. It’s easy to walk to Elizabeth Bay, Wooloomooloo, Kings Cross and The Botanic Gardens. I’d recommend it for a short stay and will book again.

Our twin room was spacious and clean when we arrived early, and we could get into it before 2pm. The hotel has a lovely boutique feel and a great spot in Sydney, with local pubs and restaurants nearby and the opera within easy reach. The only issue was the air conditioners being serviced one day between 9 and 3. We were out all day, which was fine, but the workers turned up after 3pm, when we’d returned to our room.
