The shower had rusty and mouldy edges, though the water pressure and heat were heaven. The pool was cloudy, but it looked like they were trying to clean it after a long period of neglect, which makes sense given other reviews I’ve read. The room was basic-level clean, more tidy than truly clean: dust had built up on the light switches and decorative wall panels, although the sheets and main surfaces were clean. The beds and pillows were dense and uncomfortable, with no give, even though I like a firm mattress. It was fine for budget accommodation, but the price felt high for the quality. I chose to pay on arrival, yet the company tried to debit my account before check-in and called two hours before check-in time to ask for payment. I missed the call, then at about 2pm on arrival they told me they'd tried to debit my account and had called. If I came to the area again, I'd try somewhere else.

The pool was good, the location was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. But the rooms only seemed to have had a surface clean: there were dead flies along all the window sills and a hole in the wall. The beds were average, so I didn't get a full night's sleep. A mixed stay.

The front desk staff were lovely and helpful, and I’d definitely stay again. It was good value for money in a really great location. The bed was comfortable, and I liked the natural light in the bathroom.

We often stop here on our way to Sydney because it's so comfortable and cosy. It's basic, but always clean and very well looked after. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful.

The owner kindly let us check in early, and the place is close to Katoomba station. I stayed one night. The room was okay, but the pool wasn't clean and the place needs a proper cleaning.
