Sydney Student Living - Hostel

I lived here for just over three amazing years and had the best time. The welcoming, comforting community brought me lifelong friends and incredible people from all over the world. It really feels like a home away from home, with a sense of community that's hard to match. SSL is a warm, inclusive, supportive place.

The floors were grimy and filthy, and I ended up with a fungal infection. My things were stolen, but the staff were rude and so unhelpful, basically saying there was nothing they could do. Disgusting place.

I'm a resident of Concord, a quiet suburb far from the city, which is exactly why I live here. Every time I have to catch the bus with young adults, they have incredibly loud conversations and take up more seats than they need while people are coming home from work. I've tried calling the people who run this place to ask if they could kindly remind the “students” to show residents more courtesy, but no one has answered. I'd love to talk if someone responds 😊

This multicultural place is extremely economical and very conveniently located. I came intending to stay for only two weeks, but ended up here for two years. I met people from countries across every continent except Antarctica, and the service is good. Definitely heaven on earth.
