The Chalet Guesthouse And Studio

The hosts were friendly, welcoming and so generous. This place feels made for open hearts and open minds, and we’ll be back. We stayed in Medlow Bath for a month ago now, and I’m still nourished by the memory. It was a relaxing counterpoint to our days hiking and exploring the Blue Mountains. It’s easy to reach favourite destinations, while still feeling tucked away from town and traffic. If you love art, you’ll appreciate the beautiful collection of paintings and pottery the wonderful Davids have amassed and created, arranged across most vertical and horizontal surfaces. Our room was warm and cozy, with more art and pottery, and an adjoining classic bathroom. I regret not trying the claw-foot bath. Breakfast was delicious, with a free show of parrots feeding on the windowsill.

The guesthouse is close to countless lovely walks, yet it’s a peaceful, relaxing place to stay in a magnificent part of the world. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms spotless, and both the breakfast and platters delicious. Exquisite ceramics and artworks on the walls add a special touch.

We left feeling refreshed and would happily come back. David’s hospitality made the stay extra special from the moment we arrived and made us feel at home. The guesthouse has a warm, peaceful atmosphere, with thoughtful touches throughout. Our room was spotless and comfortable, just right for unwinding after a day out exploring. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for a relaxed day. The location is close to walking trails and sights, but quiet enough to feel like a retreat.

The owners were friendly and the rooms extremely clean. It was a quiet, charming stay at a good price, with amazing breakfast options. The dining room with its fireplace was great :)
