The Fletcher Bondi

I was here for almost two months and felt comfortable right away. The unit had everything I needed, and Unit 6 had an amazing view. Such a beautiful stay!

The one real plus was the location, close to everything Bondi has to offer. Even so, after 11 nights at The Fletcher Bondi, we were very disappointed, especially for the price, and won't return or recommend it. The modern, nicely decorated look online didn't match the experience. The kitchenware was very basic, cheap IKEA/Kmart stuff that made food stick to the pans and even set off the smoke alarm. Towels were tiny and paper-thin, with only two for the whole stay. We had to ask for more, and no laundry products were provided, so we couldn't wash or dry them ourselves. The bed was another major problem: no headboard, an unstable frame that shifted even when we sat down, and a rug that bunched up underneath. On our first night, we spent 30 minutes trying to lock the door while waiting for a slow reply and attempting to call. It wasn't a standard outside key lock, and getting it to lock cut into our evening plans. It never felt fully secure with just a push-button lock, and it banged during the night. We put a chair against it to quiet the noise and feel somewhat secure. Tiny flying bugs showed up in the bathroom every day, and we kept finding cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom. The spray they gave us didn't fix it. We could hear every footstep and conversation from upstairs, especially irritating in the middle of the night. Our apartment was at the far end of a dark, uneven driveway. There was just one small motion light that stayed on for about five seconds, making it hard to get around safely after dark.

The Fletcher was clean, well equipped, and in a very handy spot, so we had a fabulous stay. There are lots of good places to eat along Bondi Rd, and you can easily walk to both Bondi and Tamarama beaches.

Lovely sunny balcony and a great apartment in a great location. Highly recommend!
