The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, but I won't stay here again. There was only one set of shampoo, conditioner and body wash for two people, so we had to ration it. Bring your own tea or coffee if you want more than one drink. The motel sits in a huge sports complex, with no designated parking. You have to compete with the general public for street parking. We couldn't find a spot near the accommodation and had to carry our bags some distance to check in. I don't walk well, and had picked this motel because its promotion advertised disabled access, so that was particularly frustrating. There's also a rail line behind the complex, and noise from people using the sporting grounds started as early as 6 am, even with training.

The room, location and price all suited me, and breakfast at the café was superb. I had a very happy stay and will definitely come back. Only regret is that I wasn't there during the pool hours. Thanks, guys.

It honestly felt like home at The Lodge Blacktown. The place is spotless and organised, and everyone is warm, welcoming and punctual. The staff all seem perfectly chosen for their roles. Jyoti, the manager, is smart, attentive and so supportive. Tracy and Shaun at reception are lovely, and housekeeping is just as wonderful. Miss Z is especially sweet, though I forgot her name. This is the best accommodation I've ever experienced.

Parking was a problem because the accommodation has no dedicated spaces, and sporting events take place in the complex every evening. The rooms themselves are basic, but clean and modern.

The room was comfortable and larger than I'd expected. I liked the unusual touch of giving each room a different country name on its door. It took me a while to work out where the place was, tucked behind the sporting complex, and I had to ask someone for directions. The trains were loud while running, then quiet once they stopped. Big signs with arrows would make it much easier to know you're in the right place.
