The Sportsman's Hotel

The room was clean and pleasant for the price, with air conditioning, and suited us well after spending over 15 hours out at the V8s and elsewhere. It was a good place to rest before another big day at Sydney Motorsport Park. The bistro food was a real highlight. I’ve had Tandoori Chicken at least 7000 times, including at some top-end Indian restaurants, and this is in my top three. The open Lamb Souvlaki was just as good, with strong fresh flavours and a light charcoal note. The location is handy too, about a 10 minute walk to Blacktown Shopping Centre and the train and bus terminal. V8 Supercar fans can catch the track shuttle from that terminal.

The food and drinks were good, and I had a great time at a work dinner here. It was hard to hear each other over the loud music and announcements. The outdoor heating wasn’t ideal either, and the bathroom water was too cold. If those things improve, it would be amazing. Still a great experience overall 👏 🤩

We held our team anniversary in the outdoor dining area and everyone enjoyed it. The staff were really nice, and the place had a relaxed, lively feel. We had a small private spot at the back. I’d recommend it.

There were cockroaches in the shower and under the fridge. The AC sounded like a jumbo jet and, from what I could tell, probably had mould inside. The walls and doors were paper thin, and our door opened right by the parking lot, where traffic went all night. I checked out as soon as I could. Easily the worst place I’ve stayed.
