Ultimate Apartments Bondi Beach

It’s an older, dated place, but don’t let that put you off. The rooms are clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable and it was so quiet. The location made walking to the beach easy every day, and it’s really affordable. I loved my stay and will definitely come back next time I visit Sydney.

We could walk to everything from here, and the secure parking made things easy. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though a bit dated. It’s an old-style motel, really, just somewhere to sleep rather than a resort. Given the location and convenience, it worked well for us.

Walking back uphill from the beach was a very different experience from the lovely trip down, so keep Bondi’s hills in mind. Restaurants and little cafes are just a short walk away, and there’s a small pool for cooling off on hot days. The terrace is large, but most of its chairs are broken. Our rooms felt old and dated, and our sheets and towels were changed just once in nearly two weeks. It’s a shame, because a refurbishment could make this place much better.

The room was cramped and dingy, nothing like the clean, spacious apartment shown in the online photos. By American standards, it felt more like a Motel 6 than an apartment. Open ventilation in the bathroom left the apartment cold at this time of year, and the room was heated with a space heater, which I’ve since learned is common. We didn’t get what we expected and wouldn’t recommend the Ultimate Apartment.
