The only downside was that my stay was much too short. The place was very clean and well organized, and I felt secure since you need a code to get in. The washer and dryer were great, and staff responded quickly. The location is ideal, with a grocery store, pharmacy, and restaurant across the street and more restaurants around the corner. The ferry and beach are 7 minutes away, and the train station is 10 minutes away. Even my neighbor was friendly. Australia is so nice, with lots of fresh air. I recommend staying here, it’s worth it. Do the bridge climb and ask for Mel. Go ahead and book your room and have fun.

The extra space compared with a hotel was great, and the rooms were spacious. The bathrooms were simple, clean, and modern. I stayed for a week in a two bedroom apartment, but the road noise was extremely loud. If you’re a light sleeper, this probably isn’t the place for you. They seem to need to redo the soundproofing.

If you’re renting short term, avoid this place. There’s no wheelchair access, which makes it impossible for renters with mobility problems, and there’s no parking at all. The closest parking I could find was five minutes away. There are also security concerns. Check reviews on other sites as well as Google. One security door leading to the apartments at the back is broken, so anyone can get into the building and possibly the apartments. The bin area is barely cleaned and smells foul. Apartment servicing doesn’t involve a thorough clean either. You may find things left behind by previous tenants, like a Snickers bar, small scissors, or coins. It’s noisy all the time, even with the doors shut. New South Head Road has heavy traffic on weekdays and Saturdays from 7 AM to 9 PM.

The rooms are spacious, with nice beds and sofas, and the neighborhood is pleasant, near some nice beaches and restaurants tucked along the back streets. But that’s about all I liked. If your room faces the road, the window gaps let in a horrible amount of noise from the busy street and the bar across from it, where people party all night. It feels like sleeping on the street, and there’s no way to get a good night’s rest. The curtains don’t keep out the light either, so you wake up really early. There’s also a tree next to the apartment with what seem like huge flocks of birds with rabies or something. Their weird chirping is enough to numb your eardrums. Put together, the noise is like a rocket taking off. I’d only recommend this place if you can sleep through earthquakes. The cutlery was stained and unclean, though I forgot to take pictures. The fourth floor rooms are right by the garbage room, and you have to shut the door quickly whenever it opens or flies get in. The bedding and space are nice, but the location is terrible. Good luck with your plans for the day if you can’t get enough sleep.
