We rented Whale Beach House and the cute little studio out back for a weekend, and had an amazing stay. The new owners have renovated it beautifully. The house is spacious and has everything you could need for a summer getaway. We had cocktails on the back deck, then swam in the mineral pool while the weather was warm. Whale Beach is just minutes away, with great coffee from the little caravan near the Surf club. Palm Beach, Avalon, and Clareville are close too. The Palm Beach lighthouse walk is a must, and Clareville was the best sunset spot.

Elaine and Ted are such charming hosts. They always go the extra mile for guests, and nothing seems too much trouble. Our family has stayed at Whale Beach Bed and Breakfast on several trips to Sydney, and the value for money is amazing. It’s close to the beach and just a few minutes’ drive from the cool beachside village of Avalon, with everything at your doorstep. We’ve stayed in lots of places around the world, and it would be hard to find somewhere better. Elaine and Ted will take great care of you and your family and make the stay fun.

The location is like paradise, and being so close to Avalon Village worked perfectly for the wedding we were attending. My family and I stayed for four days earlier this year, and we’d love to return. The host was kind, friendly, and helpful, and we felt very welcome. The rooms were fresh and very clean. My kids had a room of their own, plus their own bathroom and TV, which made them feel spoiled. For what we paid, it seemed very reasonable. We thought the accommodation was lovely.

We had a great time at Whale Beach B&B in August last year and hope to return soon. The area is lovely for walks, beach activities, and good restaurants. Our room was tidy, very clean, and great value. The hosts were friendly and took good care of us.

Our family stayed at Whale Beach B&B for our son's wedding in November, 2015. We live on the mid north coast of NSW and booked online without seeing the place first. We needed somewhere near Whale Beach and Moby Dick's that could fit 10 adults and a two-year-old for the special weekend, and it met all those needs. Elaine and Ted showed us around and explained the property when we arrived. Every bedroom was spacious, had plenty of storage, a ceiling fan, TV, small fridge, and its own en-suite. That was especially useful while everyone got ready at once, including the groom, best man, two groomsmen, and flower girl. Opening the double glass doors from the living, dining, and kitchen area onto the verandah made the space feel even nicer. There were plenty of seats and lounges, and the kitchen was well stocked. The whole place, including the Garden Retreat, was clean and tidy. There was even a washing machine under the stairs. Elaine and Ted were unobtrusive throughout our stay, but what happened with our daughter's rings really stood out. She misplaced four on the wedding night. We searched everywhere and couldn’t find them. I mentioned it to Elaine as we left, and she said they’d keep an eye out. A couple of weeks later she called to say they’d found them on a high shelf, pushed back where they couldn’t be seen. Our daughter was ecstatic. The rings were sentimental and quite valuable, so the honesty and integrity Elaine and Ted showed meant a lot to us. For that reason, among others, we’d thoroughly recommend Whale Beach B&B and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thanks for the hospitality, Elaine and Ted. We hope to see you again. Bill and Sue.
