ibis Styles The Entrance

Matthew at reception made a point of looking after me when he checked me in. I hadn’t expected that sort of care at a budget hotel, almost like staying at the Sofitel. I was using the hotel as a stop on a drive from QLD to VIC, and the room price made the experience a pleasant surprise. The location, rooms and service were all outstanding, and the modern hotel’s continental breakfast was very good. The Accor budget-hotel formula works for me, and I’ll stay here again when I’m in the area.

Access to the Diggers Club, with members’ prices for food and drinks, was a nice extra. Our well-equipped king room had a lake view, a comfortable bed and all the amenities we needed. A lovely stay.

We booked this at the last minute for a school holiday adventure with the kids, and it turned out to be a great little hotel for the price. The room was a good size, clean and quiet, with a great shower and comfy beds. Staff were lovely and helpful, and being able to sign into our own Netflix account was a bonus with the kids. Parking was free onsite. Our room looked over Long Jetty, just two streets away. We went down in the late afternoon and caught a stunning sunset. Breakfast was included next door at the Diggers Club. It wasn’t a full breakfast, but we had fruit salad, toast, coffee or juice, cereal, and I ordered bacon and egg rolls too. The four of us paid $40, and those rolls were the best we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely come back.

Dinner at Diggers was convenient, really good, and came with a nice discount. Afterward I enjoyed walking into town to stretch my legs, and the sunrise view the next morning was lovely. Wayne at reception gave me a warm welcome when I arrived. I also found a handwritten welcome card in my room, which made me feel very special. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at ibis Styles The Entrance and will be back.
