The room was quiet, and we couldn’t hear people upstairs or water and toilets flushing in the neighbouring rooms. There are plenty of power points near the bed, which is a big plus when travelling as a family. We came to Townsville for the Everclear concert. The aircon filters were dirty, so the units weren’t working well, which isn’t good for guests with allergies. We took them out and washed them ourselves, though that’s a simple routine job the cleaners should do. There was a dead bug on my pillow, and the pillows weren’t very thick. Still, it was a decent room, with regularly dusted pictures, a good-sized bin and bathroom, and a pool that looked clean. It’s right on the strand near food places, with roomy parking spaces, a small kitchenette stocked with plenty of cups, glasses and plates, and a decent-sized fridge. I’d stay again.

The shuttle bus from the airport drops you right at the motel door, and it’s an easy walk to food, beaches, the supermarket and ferry. Staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Mine had a microwave and a small couch. Fantastic place to stay, and I’d absolutely come back when visiting Townsville.

You can walk to breakfast, dinner, drinks, swimming and the best gelato we’ve found on our travels. The location was amazing, and the room was a great size with everything we needed. Only issue was the wooden bunks. The kids fidgeted, and they squeaked every time they moved.

The room was nice and the location was great, but I couldn’t shower because the loose shower head wouldn’t tighten and sent all the water onto the wall it was mounted on. The motel advertises smart TVs, yet none of the streaming services they offer actually work.
