The place is beautiful, and the view from the accommodation is amazing. The runway was in good condition when we landed, and the staff met us at the airstrip and took us to our room. They were accommodating throughout our stay.

We loved waking up in a comfortable coastal cottage with the beach in view, then heading straight into the water for a snorkel or SUP. We spotted turtles, rays, dolphins and all sorts of wonderful sea life. The island itself felt surreal, especially the sunrises, sunsets and starry nights. We got incredible photos of pink and orange skies over the ocean before the Milky Way came out. The staff made the trip just as special. They were welcoming, funny, knowledgeable and always happy to chat or help. We joined the optional 'Dinner Under The Stars', where the food was delicious and the staff shared stories and jokes. Huge thanks to Andy, Jack, Georgia, Liam, Tegan, Jude, Dyl, Maddy & Kyrah for making us feel so welcome.

For a self-catered trip with a group of like-minded fishos, the location and service are hard to beat, even though the accommodation isn't five-star. The staff are a terrific team, with plenty of knowledge and experience, and they were willing to help with anything. Getting between the boats and their moorings in the small dinghy, and getting on and off the boats at the beach, takes some effort, especially in even a slight breeze. A new pontoon would make that much easier if it gets installed.

We loved the free activities, especially the sunset trip to the back of the island, where we could walk on the reef. They even had reef shoes, and we enjoyed that tour enough to do it twice. Bird watching tours, guided fishing and the dinner under the stars, which we went to both times it ran, were other highlights. We also saw whales, turtles and some amazing birds of prey. The rooms are basic but clean, have everything you need, and come with an amazing view. The activity room is well equipped, with boats for hire, fishing and snorkelling gear, stand up paddle boards and kayaks at very reasonable prices. We were travelling with a three-month-old and a child almost two, and a cot and highchair were waiting in our room, along with the cold beers we'd ordered ahead. The staff were all friendly, helpful and fantastic. Thanks to Sarah, Trent and the whole team, especially Timmo and Sam. After a week here we were sad to leave and are already planning to come back next season. Brendon, Megan, Dallas and Ruby.

After being home for a couple of weeks and thinking it over, I wouldn't really say the stay was worth the price. We've had much nicer accommodation for less, and this felt like a shack at Wedge. The place is very outdated and needs a major overhaul. I don't think we'd come back. Bring plenty of supplies too, because the shop has only the bare minimum. We brought enough for a week. The staff were friendly and easy to get along with. The snorkeling and complimentary activities were enjoyable, and the peace and quiet were lovely. The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely superb.
