My wife and I had dinner here, and it was well worth the visit. The roast wagyu was tender, clearly good quality, and cooked just right. They flambéed it at the table and served it with garlic potatoes, broccolini, and four delicious sauces. A five out of five meal.

We had a lovely summer stay at Candlelight Lodge. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a view to die for, and breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The staff were friendly, helpful, and honest. I’d lost my smart watch somewhere, and they found it in the car park. They worked out my phone number from the watch, called me, and posted it home. My number wasn’t on the booking, and the watch wasn’t left in our room, so I could easily have never seen it again. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable. Your ethics deserve recognition.

The staff handle both reception and the bar, so after four trips they’ve started to feel like good friends. We’ve stayed here every time we’ve visited Thredbo, and we’ll keep coming back. The rooms are really cozy and warm, the food is amazing, and the location makes it easy to leave the car in Overnight Parking 1 and walk everywhere.

We had a balcony looking out at the mountain and chairlift. The rooms were quiet, clean, and had comfy beds, and the staff were friendly. It’s a lovely little place to stay. Drop your bags by the entry, then park at P1, about a 10 minute walk away. The restaurant is open Wed-Sun, and our meal was very good. The wagyu on a tower was yum.

The barramundi and risotto were fresh and really tasty, and Ava, the hotel and restaurant manager, gave wonderful service. She also had great advice for the dessert schnapps. Lovely setting and excellent food.
