There was no Wi-Fi, and sleeping comfortably was difficult because the apartment stayed so hot overnight. We were there in the first week of January, and the bedroom was around 26C. There’s no AC, and no flyscreen on the living area balcony door. Leaving it open to cool the place down let in bugs and mosquitoes, and we both got bitten pretty badly. We asked for help and received one pedestal fan, but found the apartment very uncomfortable.
The beds were hopeless, and the service was unacceptable. There was no housekeeping and no tea, coffee or sugar refills. For two people staying four nights, we got only two bath towels and one hand towel. We asked for a large car space, but weren’t given one even though plenty were available and only two apartments were occupied.
The balcony spa was a great spot for two to unwind, and the fireplace heater was amazing. Room 10 was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view. Having the car parked right outside made getting our luggage in and out really easy.
Apartment 9 was so quiet, with gorgeous mountain views and a lovely, elegant feel. Ari met us and showed us around, and check-in was easy. Kayleigh and Angel made the Lantern Apartments feel like home again. We're already looking forward to booking another stay.
The child-friendly balcony let us enjoy the mountain views without worrying, and the heated floors were a welcome treat. We spent the ANZAC Day long weekend at Lantern Apartments, and the place suited our family of four perfectly. It could also be a lovely romantic break for two. The apartment was cosy, stylish, and very comfortable, with everything we needed. The beds were great, and parking was handy, although a larger 4WD might find it a bit tight. That wasn't a dealbreaker for us. The thoughtful layout and excellent location made for a peaceful, enjoyable weekend. We'd happily come back and recommend Lantern Apartments to anyone looking for a well-equipped stay in Thredbo.
