The living room was super comfy, and the hostel was clean and tidy. It's a small, cosy spot in a beautiful location, with a well-equipped kitchen and really friendly staff.

Steph was so helpful and friendly, even though we arrived after reception had closed and were a bit frazzled. Our family of four, two adults and two teens, stayed two nights at the Thredbo YHA. I'd recommend it as a good-value place to stay in Thredbo.

The shared area has absolutely great views, and the kitchen was fully equipped. We went out of season, at the end of February, and found free public parking nearby, up or down a few stairs or the hill. Great amenities and professional, friendly service. Best hostel I've ever stayed in.

The room was fine, but the facilities were awful. With only two toilets for the whole place, we saw several people urinating in sinks and showers, which was disgusting. It was frustrating that there was no sign saying breakfast cost extra. At $12, I expected more than the bare minimum that's usually free elsewhere. If we'd known, we wouldn't have paid for it.

I stayed for two nights last May to walk Mt Kozzie and do the 30km loop. I wrecked my feet and could barely walk the next morning because of blisters. Julie made me an essential oil foot soak, and I sat by the fire with my feet in it for 45 minutes. It was so relaxing and really helped me get back to my car. She didn't have to do that, and her kindness meant a lot. Thank you, and sorry this review took so long!
