The welcome here is what sets this place apart. The ladies made us feel comfortable and respected straight away, whatever we might have had going on. We’ve stayed at a few places over the past few years, and this family, animal-loving park gave us the best customer service experience we’ve had. Keep it up, ladies. You’re a credit to Ingenia and the south coast.
The pool was the one bright spot, and the woman at reception was friendly and welcoming. The coastline nearby is beautiful, but I’d look for somewhere else to stay. The park felt run-down, with permanent vans that seemed in disrepair and made the place look and feel worse. Some sites backed onto permanent cabins, while others were completely surrounded by them. The unfinished construction at the entrance also looked like it had been sitting there for a long time. The bins by the clotheslines were overflowing and smelled bad for days before collection. There may need to be more bins around the park. The bathrooms need more than just bleach on the toilets and floors. In the women’s, the old metal shower heads are fixed to the ceiling, so most of the water runs down the wall, and they’re in poor condition. In the men’s, some door locks were broken, the toilet paper hadn’t been replenished, and the shower hooks were just screws in the wall. It wasn’t pleasant. I don’t know how this park gets the reviews it does. We expected at least a basic standard from an Ingenia park, but didn’t find it.
The park kept us well informed during our stay, even sharing details about the river regeneration project beside our cabin and letting us know when the ice cream truck arrived. A soft serve on a hot day felt wonderfully nostalgic. We stayed over the January long weekend in a clean, comfortable two-bedroom river cabin. It’s pet friendly too, and my little dog had the best time. A lovely spot on the South Coast with classic summer holiday vibes.
The kids were kept entertained, and the staff really tried to make Easter feel special for us. Everything around the park was well cared for, and the facilities stayed clean. We camped at Tomakin Ingenia over the Easter long weekend and will definitely be back.
Steph, the manager, was so welcoming and shared plenty of ideas for sightseeing. We had a lovely quiet river setting, with the bowling club right next door for delicious meals. The amenities were very clean. I’d highly recommend staying here with your van.
